Jeff Bowyer
Early Career and Military Service
Jeff Bowyer is originally from the UK and began his working career in 1983 in the Royal Air Force as a Data Analyst. His time in the RAF provided him with a strong foundation in data analysis and discipline, which would later serve him well in his professional life.
Transition to the Commercial Sector
In 1995, Jeff left the RAF to pursue a career in the commercial sector, running his own business. His entrepreneurial spirit and business acumen helped him establish a successful career outside of the military.
Move to New Zealand
Jeff has family in New Zealand and, after several holidays, he was captivated by the country. In 2019, Jeff completed the Graduate Diploma in Immigration Advice, preparing him for a new chapter in his professional life. In 2023, Jeff, his wife, and youngest daughter made the move to New Zealand.
Passion for Travel and Family
Jeff loves traveling to as many parts of the world as the budget allows. His eldest daughter currently lives in Canada, which gives the family even more reason to explore different parts of the globe. Jeff’s passion for travel is a testament to his adventurous spirit and love for new experiences.
Sports Enthusiast and Community Involvement
Jeff is a sports enthusiast with a diverse background in various sports, including rugby, football, hockey, cricket and even tug-of-war! He has also served as a rugby referee and assessor. Notably, Jeff has run three London Marathons for charity, showcasing his commitment to both fitness and philanthropy.
Customer-Facing Roles and Immigration Advisory
Jeff has spent many years in customer-facing roles, which aligns perfectly with his current position as an Immigration Adviser. He enjoys meeting interesting people and helping them pursue their dreams. Jeff's philosophy is encapsulated in his statement, "It’s all about the people. Trying to help them pursue their dreams. This job can be so rewarding."
